Announcement: IBM Offers Free Certification Testing at Colorado Software Summit

IBM is pleased to announce that the appended certification tests, valued at $75 to $175, will be available at no cost to registered attendees at Colorado Software Summit, held October 24 — 29, 2004 in Keystone, Colorado, USA.

Registered conference attendees are welcome to register for and to take, on a “first-come, first-served” basis, one or all of the certification tests listed within the following categories of the Professional Certification Program from IBM Web site http://www.ibm.com/certify:

(Note: Only IBM owned tests apply, that is, all tests where the first 3 digits of the 6 digit test number is 000.)

• IBM DB2 Information Management
• IBM WebSphere
• IBM WebSphere Business Integration
• Tivoli Software
• XML
• CICS

Certification registration will take place outside the conference Certification Testing Room. Tests may be taken starting at the following times:

Registered conference attendees may register for two tests at a time. Upon completion of one test, another one may be registered for, and so on. Attendees are encouraged to book an early test session, take the test, and then register for another to secure multiple testing opportunities during this conference — all at no charge to you!

Test takers need to prepare for the test(s) prior to the conference. To prepare, refer to the Professional Certification Program from IBM web site ibm.com/certify. There you’ll find the certification role names, and job role descriptions to which these tests apply, the test taker's required prerequisite knowledge and skills, the test objectives or skills measured on the test, recommended educational resources used to prepare for the test based on the test objectives, and pre-assessment/sample tests to gauge one's readiness for the actual test.
