Here is the daily schedule for the week of Colorado Software Summit 2002. At the bottom of this page you will find a link to each day's schedule organized by time of day. We have made every effort to make sure this is the final schedule, but last-minute changes are still possible.
We will have conference check-in on Sunday, November 3, from 10 AM until 5 PM in the Conference Center. To get to the Conference Center from Keystone Lodge, walk along the lake in front of the shops, until you come to a tunnel that goes under the highway. At the other end of the tunnel is the Conference Center.
If you must arrive too late on Sunday to check in, come on over to the Conference Center first thing Monday morning. We'll be there starting at 7 AM to get you checked in before the conference opening keynote presentation begins at 8:30 AM. Please come as early as possible that morning, we don't want you to miss any of the conference presentations!
We will be hosting a Welcome Reception on Sunday evening, November 3, from 7 PM until 9 PM, at the Columbine Ballroom in the new wing of the Conference Center. We will have hors d'oeuvres (lots of great foodyou won't need dinner that night!) and a cash bar. It's a great opportunity to meet some of our speakers and to begin to get to know the other attendees. Please wear your badge to the reception, it helps people to learn your name if they can see it. If you have brought your family to Keystone, they are welcome at this reception, including children.
A General Overview of the Week
We begin each day, Monday through Friday, at 7:30 AM with a Continental breakfast in the Conference Center, and the first session begins at 8:30 AM. Each session is 90 minutes long, and we will be running or eight or nine sessions concurrently throughout the day. Each tutorial topic will be repeated three times during the week, so you will be able to attend the presentations that interest you the most during the conference. Our two featured keynote speakers, John Soyring of IBM and Simon Phipps of Sun Microsystems, will speak only once during the week, at a time when there are no other presentations.
At 6:20 PM each day, we have a general Question & Answer session. The conference ends after lunch on Friday (the final session that day ends at 11:45 AM). We'll give you a box lunch on Friday, because many people are rushing to catch an airplane; the rest of the week it's a hot lunch. A lot of people stay over through the weekend, and if you do you'll enjoy plenty of good company, as well as the informal Friday Night Pizza Party.
We look forward to seeing all our old friends again and welcoming our soon to be new friends to the Colorado Software Summit family. See you all at Keystone!
