Working Mines

There are several working mines near Keystone that offer tours. Since the information on this page is subject to change, you should rely on the information you find by following the links to mines you are interested in. The following list is arranged by increasing travel time from Keystone:

Located 2 miles from downtown Breckenridge via Wellington and French Gulch roads. (Breckenridge is less than 10 miles from Keystone.) Call for current tour schedule and prices. Price includes mine tour, exhibit and gold panning. Tours run about 45 minutes. Nearby are the ghost town of Lincoln, a Reiling dredger and Eureka Creek.

Hours in winter are by appointment and usually require a group of at least 15 people. Call for current tour schedule and prices. Tours run about 90 minutes. Idaho Springs is on I-70 between Denver and Keystone, and is near the exit for Mount Evans. If you visit this mine, try to allow enough time to also drive up Mount Evans.
